policies & procedures
Pets are accepted for grooming at Bark In Style Mobile Grooming (LLC) only under the following circumstances:
The pet is fit and healthy for grooming services.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform Bark In Style LLC prior to each grooming session any chronic health conditions (example, enlarged heart, heart murmur, kidney failure, diabetes, thyroid disease, etc.).
Any grooming service which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the client’s (“You”) risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Bark In Style LLC cannot be held liable.
Our groomer reserves the right to stop and discontinue services at any time to any pet if the process becomes too stressful and/or dangerous for the pet or groomer.
Vaccinations: The pet's rabies vaccine must be up to date (as required by law) unless otherwise discussed.
Emergencies: In case of an emergency, Bark In Style LLC has your permission to obtain immediate veterinarian treatment at the closest emergency vet at your expense, should it become necessary.
Should veterinary care be necessary as a result of any services rendered by Bark In Style LLC, Bark In Style LLC must be notified within 48 hours for such care. Reimbursement for such care will be at the discretion of Bark In Style LLC.
Payment: Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payments can be made by cash, credit card, check or venmo. Our rates are formulated on the breed of pet, behavior, coat condition, services rendered, duration of the groom and travel.
Late payments are subject to a fee of $5/per day late.
Credit Card on file: A valid credit card is required to be on file within MoeGo's secure system in order to make an appointment with Bark In Style LLC. This card will only be charged in the event of a cancellation (see cancellation policy below), or to pay for your pet’s services if authorized.
Cancellations: Please keep in mind that Bark In Style LLC grooms a limited number of pets each day, and sets aside time for your pet when you make an appointment. If prior notice is not received that you are unable to keep your appointment, we lose the opportunity to service another client.
Cancellations are required to be given at least 48hrs notice before your scheduled appointment. A text will be sent out 48 hours prior to remind and confirm you of your upcoming appointment.
In the event that you need to cancel your pet's appointment, you may be subjected to a fee unless otherwise discussed. Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card on file immediately and must be paid in order to book with us again.
Less than 24 hours notice- 50% service price
Day of, or no-show at time of appointment- 100% service price
Bark In Style LLC reserves the right to discontinue services to clients with repeated last-minute cancellations and/or no-shows.
Arrival Window: Please allow an arrival window of 1 hour for your pet's appointment (Ex: if your scheduled time is 10:00am, expect arrival between 9:30-10:30)
Upon arrival, our groomer will wait up to 10 minutes to receive your pet. If we are unable to begin the appointment within this time, the appointment will be considered a no-show and is subject to our no-show fee.
Latch-key Service: After your first appointment with Bark In Style, you are not required to be home for your pet's appointment. If you will not be home please be sure to provide our groomer with instructions for safe entry into your home to retrieve your pet.
Weather Hazards: We follow the local Public School closures as they pertain to inclement weather. We will remain open as long as conditions are not dangerous for travel, and you will be notified of any closures with as much notice as possible. If you are unsure, please reach out!
During the winter, we kindly request that you provide safe and ample parking for our groomer. Our groomer has the right to cancel if your driveway/walkway/stairs have not been cleared of excessive snow/ice. We must be able to safely transport your pets to-and-from the van without risk of slipping/falling/injury.
Weight Limit: Bark In Style LLC operates with only one groomer present during appointments. Because of this, our groomer reserves the right to refuse service if she feels she cannot safely handle your pet due to their size. A weight limit of 90lb applies for short haired bath-only dogs, and 50lb for dogs who require a full grooming.
Behavior/Aggression: You MUST inform Bark In Style LLC if your pet bites, has bitten or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures.
E-Collars (cones) or Muzzles may be used if necessary. E-Collar/Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer.
Bark In Style LLC reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before, during or after the grooming process. Should your pet exhibit aggressive behavior, as the owner, you understand you are liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries to groomers.
Matting: “De-matting" or matted coat removal will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This service may expose pre-existing health\skin problems for which Bark In Style LLC cannot be held liable. This includes the possible after-effects of mat removal which can include itchiness, skin redness, abrasions, and in some cases, failure of the hair to grow back normally. In the event that your pet needs to be shaved, you will be informed beforehand. You may be subjected to an additional charge depending on the extent of matting on your pet.
Double Coats: Bark In Style LLC does not recommend shaving down double-coated dogs unless deemed absolutely necessary to their health and wellbeing.
Fleas: If fleas are found on your pet during the grooming process, your pet will be treated with a flea and tick shampoo to remove the infestation and there will be an additional fee of $50.
We do NOT offer ear hair plucking as this is a painful process that can cause extreme irritation and should be performed by a licensed veterinarian. Anal gland expression can be done by request at no additional cost.
Sanitation: Bark In Style LLC cleans and sanitizes (daily & between appointments) with a veterinary grade disinfectant designed to be safe for use around pets and effectively disinfect diseases like Parvovirus, Influenza, and coronavirus.
If your pet is displaying ANY symptoms of a communicable illness (coughing, sneezing, diarrhea, fever) prior to appointment, Bark In Style LLC asks that you reschedule your grooming appointment and seek veterinary care.
